Invitation to the 2015 KAGES General Meeting in Chicago, IL
Dear KAGES members,
Board members of KAGES cordially would like to invite you all to the 2015 KAGES General Meeting and Dinner as follows.
General Meeting
When: Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 7:15P.M.-8:15P.M.
Location: Hyatt Regency Chicago, room Columbian
Registration on site: $50 for general members, $20 for student members
(The registration fees will be used for your dinner, your annual membership for KAGES, your annual membership for Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA), etc. Please register at the entrance of the meeting room before the meeting will begin.)
Dinner (right after the General Meeting)
When: Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 8:30P.M.-10:00P.M.
Location: Dao Thai Restaurant (230 E Ohio St, Chicago, phone: 312-337-0000: From the AAG Headquarters Hotel, cross the river following Michigan Avenue and turn right at Ohio Street.)

KAGES Bylaws
The KAGES Bylaws was revised and approved by the KAGES Board Members on January 15, 2021, and the revised version is accessible in PDF format from the following link: KAGES Bylaws. The revised KAGES Bylaws was approved by KAGES members at the 2021 KAGES General Meeting on Friday, April 9, 2021, via voting.

2015 KAGES Student Paper Award
KAGES Student Paper Award
The Student Paper Award aims to recognize high quality student articles published in the fields of Geography, Geospatial Technologies, and Environmental Sciences. More than one award will be given in this year, with a maximum amount of $500 per awardee.
Eligibility
a. KAGES membership valid at the time of application
b. Applicants must be full-time graduate or undergraduate students in colleges/universities in North America.
c. Former Student Paper Award recipients may re-apply if they did not apply in the past two rounds while maintaining membership.
Application material
a. KAGES Student Paper Award Application form (please download the form here)
b. 1-page curriculum vitae
c. An article published or manuscript under review/revision for publication in a peer-reviewed journal in the field in calendar years 2013-2015. The applicant must be a single or first author of the article.
d. A 1-page cover letter
e. At least one letter of recommendation from an academic advisor or equivalent stating the contribution of the applicant for the project (Please arrange a letter to support@kages.org)
Application due date: 15/March/2015
Scholarship award notification: no later than 15/Apr/2015
Scholarship award ceremony: 2015 KAGES Annual Meeting, Thursday, 23 April (exact time and location, TBA)
Submission: Submit the application materials according to the instruction on the KAGES Web site (http://www.kages.org/season2/?p=606). Make sure that you log in to the Web site using your ID and password that you had received in the email from support@kages.org before you begin the submission process, and contact support@kages.org for assistance. If you have not received your ID and password from support@kages.org, please send an email to support@kages.org requesting your ID and password. Once you upload all the materials on the Web site, choose “Visibility” option as “Password Protected“. Enter the password for your post and click “OK” button, AND please send your password to support@kages.org. It completes the submission process. See also www.kages.org for further updates.

Respond to every section; if the answer is “none” or “not applicable,” type either one of these in the space provided. Delete extra line spaces wherever necessary to maintain 1-page format.
